The performance I have choses is a live session from the band 'Neon Waltz'.
The texture in this performance is made up from 2 guitars, drums, bass guitar, vocals and an electric organ. The sound of these instruments are very organic and clean as this is the style of the band. They don't tend to use much distortion in the guitar sounds and the organ provides a lot of the melodic ideas. The whole sound is driven by the drums which are also quite a big sounding as they are tuned quite low and give a garage rock sound but still sound tight and contained.
The acoustic environment will affect these instruments and the texture a lot as this performance is being played in a small living room space, high ceilings and will give off a small reverb time but will still have a large effect of how the textures sound.
In this room you have a big glass window which will act as a reflection but it will also reflect the sound off into different directions as it is a curved window.
If this performance was being played in a stadium the sound would be massively different. The reverb time would be so much longer and would result in a larger sound. The sound of band would bounce heavily off the walls and take longer to get back to the sound source giving a longer reverb time.
I think this lounge environment is the perfect acoustic environment for this band as the textures gel together so well as an organic sounding band. In a stadium or church the reverb would be far to much and it would not suit the style of music.
